We had so much fun photographing Christina and Ryan. They’re up for anything, and it so obvious they’ve got it bad for each other. She is from the Pacific Northwest and he had been up in Alaska working for several months, so the cold, wet weather definitely didn’t phase them. There is something so magical about this time of year. It is so refreshing to have that brisk air, crunchy leaves and moss growing by the minute. Throw a gorgeous couple into the mix and it can’t be beat! We can’t wait for their December wedding!

Eric and Lydia : Seattle Engagements

Stefanie and Elias : Salt Lake Engagement
When we got the call that my little sister was engaged, it was no surprise to us! Stefanie and Elias are so great together, it just seemed natural that Elias would soon become a part of our family. I can still remember my sisters wild curls as she ran around in my brothers cowboy boots as an adorable toddler. But there is still something surreal about your sweet little sister getting married. She’s all grown up. We love you both and are so thrilled for you! We can’t wait to be there next month to celebrate the union of two families!

Carmen and David : Seattle Engagements
One of the best parts of being a photographer is hunting for color and light. And Carmen and David’s engagement session was one of those satisfying moments where the two worked together so beautifully. These lovebirds were so easy to photograph! Kaycee and Cole : Salt Lake City Engagement
One of the best parts of traveling is shooting in environments that are unlike your own. While in Utah on a recent trip, we photographed Kaycee and Cole’s engagement portraits, taking advantage of the open space and fields. In Washington we’re used to lush forests and trees, so the opportunity to take advantage of the different environment was a welcomed one. In addition to being incredibly attractive, these two are so sweet and loving, and it was a pleasure to document their love.

Kelsey and John : Suzzallo Library
Kelsey and John are getting married today! When we shot their engagements in September, Kelsey was hoping to get some shots at the Suzzallo Library Reading Room at UW. But as school had yet to start, it was not open. So I told them that when they came back up to Seattle before their wedding, we would hit up the library, and I’m glad we did.

Christian and Andie : Puyallup Fair
Our dear friends, Christian and Andie, are getting married next year, and we couldn’t be more excited! When they told us they wanted to shoot their engagements at the Puyallup Fair, we said heck yes. The fair is one of our favorite events of the year, mostly for the food and people watching, and Christian and Andie feel the same. Andie said she was sure she’d be eating in every photo. We had a great time shooting these two beautiful people and cannot wait for their wedding at St. Paul’s in Port Gamble.

Kelsey and John : Seattle Engagement
When Kelsey wrote us to describe themselves, we got excited. They mentioned a love for music (including The XX, one of our favorite bands) and books, traveling through South America, KEXP and Sonic Boom Records — things about which we feel equally passionate. As we photographed them, we noticed even more similarities. We spent the morning on the UW campus, at Sonic Boom Records and around Ballard, photographing and laughing with this sweet couple. Aryel and Josh : Astoria, Oregon
I recently traveled to Oregon to watch Goonies and do some picture taking with my good friend, Roger, who was up from California for some film editorial work.
