Brandon and Sadie are one of our couples that got married in 2010. We love these guys and were excited when they came up from Utah to visit the Puget Sound area and check out the UW campus. We showed them around the area and took advantage of a few minutes to take a couple of portraits. Brandon and Sadie love outdoor adventures and both drive Subarus. These guys belong in the PNW.

Happy Birthday, My Dearest Friend
Mr. Shumate. My husband. My best friend. You are the most important person in my life. I am so happy you were born 28 years ago today. Because let’s be realistic here. Who else could put up with my pancake/waffle Saturdays? (Even though I know you get so sick of breakfast food, you put up with it.) Who else could put up with my sentimental ways? (Which is a nice way of saying I am sort of a pack-rat.) Without you I would surely die an old maid.
If I could only count all the ways I love you. I don’t think it’s a coincidence we both love Christmas more than the typical human being. Or fall or summer. Or spring for that matter. Even though we can’t agree on equally liking the rain, that’s okay. Because we can’t like ALL of the same things. But I am so glad you like to spend your time with me. Because if I could have it my way, I would spend every minute of the rest of my life with you. I don’t care if that makes people want to gag. Thinking of being away from your sweet face makes my heart ache.
You make me laugh. Hard. You bring so much joy into our home. And you always make sure our home is full of love. I really, really appreciate that. I have so much more to say, but I’ll save the juicy stuff for your birthday card.
Thanks for making me fall in love with you 5 and a half years ago. We have 100 more birthdays to celebrate and forever after that.

Allison and Derek : Tacoma Wedding
I know we often say how sweet our couples are, but it’s true. We’re so fortunate to work with great people like Allison and Derek. As they were in town from Texas for their wedding, it was nice that they brought a little southern comfort with them. We were so impressed with their love for each other and their genuine appreciation and love for all of their guests. Their Tacoma wedding moved from the Hotel Murano, to Holy Cross Catholic Church, to Fircrest Golf Club. It was a lovely day. You couldn’t ask for nicer PNW weather or a more beautiful bride!

Katie and Ian : Tacoma
Spending time with Katie and Ian felt like being reunited with long lost friends. We met Ian last year on a flight to Los Angeles. He saw us working on photos and told us he was hoping to get engaged soon to his girlfriend, Katie. We were impressed by how genuine and friendly Ian was, and when we met Katie, we again were impressed. They are perfect for each other; not only with their good looks, but also with the love and kindness they exude. We are thrilled to photograph their Orcas Island wedding next year!
